Merry Christmas!

Scott and I came up to Blackfoot to spend our christmas with my family! So I'm very happy this Christmas!
As one of my Mom's Christmas wishes was to have updated family photos! We tried to get a local photographer to meet up with us at a location here in town. But she never returned our phone calls! (very unprofessional I think)
So plan B . . . We all loaded up in one of Dad's 15 passenger vans and headed to Idaho Falls to Sears in the mall. I wasn't very excited to go to the mall on Christmas Eve but was pleasently surprised that it really wasn't that terrible!

Should of gotten ties for the boys. Oh Well!
Feelin the love
Merry Christmas everyone!

My Fly Boy

Scott started his flight program this semester! He told me that he'd be flying by the end of this semester, but I really hadn't anticipated him flying this soon!

He had some troubles getting a good flight instructor, but once things were sorted out, and with some much needed help from his brother Ryan (who works closely with the UVU flight program). Scott was finally able to get up in the air. (Thanks Ryan! Your the best!)

Today was his first flight, although nervous, I think there was more excitement then anything.

I'm so proud of Scott, putting his nose to the grindstone, and working hard at school, and at his job! And for always being there for me. Even when I find it hard to stand, and always giving me that "push"of reassurance that, He'll be there to take care of me. I Love you Scott!

MOLLY!!!!!

About a month ago, we could start to smell something funny in our house. Couldn't quite put our finger on it. The hotter it got, the worse you could smell it! Till one day Scott put his nose to the carpet. . . ."EEEWWW! come smell this. Does this smell like pee?" "sniff sniff" "Yep! sure does!"

We fully trusted our dogs to have pretty much free rain of our house while we were out, and gone to work. I would come home for most of my lunches and let them have a potty break.

We would spontaneously check for piddle marks/wet spots, but we almost always came back with good results. Little did we know the epidemic that was slowly building on our main floor carpet downstairs. Molly must of pottied ten seconds after we left, so by the time we got home, it was dry.

We shampooed and shampooed, and even tried home remedies to try and get the stink out. While doing research on home remedies online, they said to pull out a black light and the Urine marks would show up opaque. Sure enough! It was pretty much DISGUSTING ! ! ! ! We came to the conclusion that we were just going to have to replace it.

Let the gangster demolition begin!

for those of you with weak stomachs, look away!
It smelled terrible!

Caution Caution! Under Construction!

Looking better

Looking lots better!

Isn't he handsome!

TADA! all finished . . . kinda

Sorry that some are sideways, I tried. We are almost done! We just need to lay the carpet, and hopefully, that will get done by Saturday-ish. Cause I really don't want to leave for Spokane with my living room still in my Garage!

Scott worked his tail off! I tried to help the best that I could, with "assisting" him :) I could take all the credit for it, But I love him too much. Granted this wasn't how I pictured us spending our anniversary weekend, We were together and that's all that really matters in the end. :)

Thank you Scott for giving me new floors and kinda a new kitchen! :)

4th of July Weekend

On July 2nd we got to witness Scott's Second niece, Kiley Anne (Ryan's second) get baptized! She is such a sweet girl, And will make a fine addition to the church! We went to lunch afterwords with the family and some of Emily's family that came down from Washington also. And they treated us to lunch! so nice of them to buy us lunch, and let us all share that time with Kiley together!

Two days later, they came down and celebrated the 4th with us! We had a great time! Good food, good company, and a good show! The whole street was celebrating at the same time it was AWESOME! not to mention the show that Scott and Ryan put on for all of us. We had to take a little bit of a break though, cause it started to rain! So we went in, and had dessert, and watched a little bit of Tangled :)

All in all a Very good weekend!

Random update, full of everything, and nothing at the same time

What have We been up too?! Well . . . I think I'll start with my Memorial weekend.

Scott for my Birthday had bought tickets to go see Les Miz! One of my top five favorite shows! Seats where ok, for the amazing price that He got them for. The only reason I would of wanted better seats, was cause Scott had never seen it, and I wanted his experience to be as amazing as the show is. He said that he still enjoyed it, and would see it again. Also because it's the 25th anniversary (and my 25th birthday, cool huh?!) they had redone the stage work on it, they had gotten rid of the turntable! not cool, that was like the best part! in my opinion. But in their defense, they had a really cool effect for when Javert, jumps off the bridge! It is still an amazing show! turn table or not, and well worth the money!

Right after the standing ovation, my phone was ringing, it was my Mom . I knew something was up, she was sending me cryptic texts most of the evening. Scott and I hadn't even made it down the stairs yet, let alone of the building, before I was in tears. Mom had called to tell me that my Bucca had passed away, Not even 15 min before she called. So if you've seen the play or read the book, you know that, Jean Valjean dies in the end. So I'm sitting there watching this character take his last breath, when in reality someone I love, and miss so very much was doing the exact same thing hundreds of miles away. My family had agreed not to tell me anything, because they had wanted me to enjoy my evening. Which I am alright with. Because my last visit there was a good one, Bucca, knew that I loved him, and I know that he loves me. In the end, I think that's all that matters, to me anyways.

We said our last goodbye to Bucca a week later. on June 2nd.

Grandma, is a trooper. three weeks later (give or take a few days) she went on tour with my parents, down to the Manti pageant, and to St. George to the Tuacahn amphitheater. they stopped and had lunch in Provo, Scott and I meet up with them there, and let Dad buy us lunch. (thanks Dad!!) I try to call Grandma once a week just to chit-chat about nothing, but mostly just to see how the other one is doing. I love my Grandma so much, my heart aches every time I call, I wish so much that I lived closer.

Scott, had taken one class this summer block, English, not one of his favorite classes but it still ranked higher then math with him. But between seeing the play and the funeral. All of which He needed to do extra credit for. He still passed with an A- !!!! pretty amazing I think! I couldn't be any more proud of him!

Rocky and Molly, Rocky as always has been a good dog. Molly is ever so sweet, but boy! can she get into trouble! there is something every week! Just yesterday she got in the trash and licked the mayo jar all but clean. BAD DOG!! she's has since served her time and back on her sweet behavior.

Me. still working hard at the office, and having fun riding my scooter most days now. Scott and I go out on scooter-cycle rides, I would say twice a week. Up to the reservoir, out to the lake, up Hobble creek canyon, or just out in the country. I love my scooter! and spending time with my Honey out on the open road. :)

Life is good at the moment. Tough and never fair, but still, life is good.

What did YOU do this weekend?

I don't mean do brag. . . OK yes I do. I had a few days off because my Dr.'s took time off to go do a continuing Ed class back east. And where I just visited my family last weekend, I had pretty much nothing to do. So I brushed off my sewing machine and went to work!

I already had a few patterns that I already liked, so I just needed supplies.

I found this psychedelic fabric at Wal-mart for a awesome price, and had the perfect blouse to go with it!

So a few hours later! TA DA

New Birthday outfit! for under $15 I'm quite proud of my self!

Even Molly likes it :) (Just ignore my socks)

Now this skirt is from the same pattern. And I already had the fabric, and because I had practiced on the other one, I busted this one out pretty dang fast!

it's kind of a stretchy Levi material, it has a double slit, I use to have a velvet skirt like it back in the day, for band concerts. So I really like it!

I also bought some more fabric for yet another skirt, it's cut out and half way together but after making these two, I'm kind of loosing speed. But when and IF I finish it I'll post a pic for ya!
