Love My Husband

Many hours of hard work, and in the freezing cold! I'm quite proud of my husbands "exterior illumination"

OOOOOOOOO, AAAAAAWWWWWW!!!

I Can't tell you how many cars drive by slow in front of our house, every night. (I'm sure our neighbors love that.) With our Christmas tree up now, it doesn't bother me quite as bad.
here is a link to a youtube video. hope it works.

Halloween

Our Halloween was pretty fun! The McIntyre's this year did not do a competition amongst ourselves. So this year we just had fun carving our own pumpkins. Scott's on the left and mine on the right. :)

We were invited to a neighborhood party earlier in the week, Had a total blast there! (thanks Chad and Tammy for an awesome time!) but I lost track of time and only finished Scott's cape for Halloween. So I went to the party as a belly dancer :)

But I did find an awesome deal on the fabric for my cape and made it pretty dang fast too! I'm quite proud of my sewing skills lately! though I shouldn't brag, I'll prolly jinx myself for the next sewing project.

I was a big girl and put my hair in my sponge curlers all by myself!!! usually my mom's here to help me, or one of my friends takes pity on me and does it. But " I'm a big girl now!!"

I waited till I couldn't stand them anymore before I took them out. which was about 12:30. I wanted it curly, but I was going for more of a romantic/sexy curl, but got this instead...

freaking Ronald McDonald Hair!!!! I should of either dressed up like him, or maybe little orphan Annie!!! Needless to say I wore my hood all night!!

I never did think to get a picture of me all costumed out, so you'll just have to use your imagination.

Rocky wearing his costume!

At Home Depot they had a Halloween costume contest. and sad to say that Scott came in third :( oh well there is always next year, with room for improvement.

we woke up early to do his makeup, and we even "spray painted" his hair too! We had planned ahead and made his teeth a few days earlier. He wore this outfit, minus the makeup, to our neighborhood party. I think he looks/looked awesome!!!

Now these pictures are long overdue. these are from his first day of school, back in August. I could make up excuses but I won't. I'm just a slacker, that's all there is to it.

I'm so proud of Scott for going back to School! And his dedication to it too! He loves his classes and his professors. He not only learns something new everyday, but comes and teaches me something new also.
Thanks Scott for being such a hard worker, in everything you do!!
I love you!

Life as we know it

same old, same old here. I've been trying to think what we've done in the last two months that has been as much fun as our trip to Washington. . . Well for starters, and if you haven't heard, Scott has quit Sears and is back at Home Depot, AND he's started School!! all of these changes have been very welcomed, and at times much needed. I'm so proud of Scott, for going back to school and surprising himself with his good grades!

What's new with me you ask?! nothing. Still working. With Scott having long days sometimes, I've needed to find something to do with my time. So I went a got a Library card. :) and have turned into quite the book worm. Since my birthday in April I have read over 15 books! and the number is still climbing now that I don't have to buy them, I can just borrow them :)

Rocky? you ask? had a birthday last month, he turned 2! he's such a good boy, and we couldn't of ask for a better dog! he also learned a new trick. We had been working on it almost all year. He's learned to spin AND .... wait for it.... to roll over!! We are super excited about it! and so is Rocky when he found out what he gets for doing it. So now, he does it all the time, and sometimes all of his tricks at once. it's pretty cute, and we'll have to get it on video for ya.

We are also proud new owners of Costco cards!!! I kind of wanted Sam's club cards so I could keep in touch with my friends I left there, and because it would be closer. But I already keep in touch with the friends I love, and want to keep. And really what's another 10 or so miles.

hows that for a random update!? Well until next time, whenever that'll be.

Vacation '10

So the first week in August we ran away from work, and headed to Spokane. To visit Dan and Denise (Scott's parents) and his Grandma Betty. We headed up to Blackfoot, to stay at my parents place, Saturday night after Scott got off work. Then we hit the road, bright and early Sunday morning, and we made good time. To change things up a bit in Montana, we took a detour, and stopped in a town called Phillipsburg. We both really enjoyed it! the character this place had was amazing! And their candy shop wasn't too bad either! :)

The first day in Spokane we hung out with Denise. (Dan just got off working a grave yard shift, so we let him sleep) We spent the afternoon strolling Manitoe park, enjoying the beautiful Gardens that they have there. Denise even bought us lunch at the Park Bench Cafe, Super yummy!

now the days are starting to get blury, I should of posted sooner when it was still fresh but this program wasn't agreeing with me when I first sat down and tried. but details shmetails right?!

We almost always try to find something I haven't done there, or somewhere I've never been. So this trip we headed up to Greenbluff to the orchards to pick apricots. We were just a few days too early for peaches, which is what I was excited about, But apricots will do. :)

Next we headed for an afternoon of snorkeling in lake Couer d' Alene! The water there is so clear that it almost always surprises me. It was a nice and warm day, and the water wasn't too bad either, that even Rocky went for a swim. But for what ever reason he doesn't look to happy about it. Actually Rocky was pretty upset with Scott most of the car ride home.

While Dan and Scott were bonding and watching Trains. Denise and I had a girls night and went downtown to the movie theater, and watched Eclipse! Which reminds me. Never buy a "large" soda, and if you do, share it with someone. I've nicked-named them the "bladder busters" they were so big that you couldn't even put them in your cup holder! And also NEVER park in the Parkade, cause it closes at nine. No really it does! they had locked us out, and the car in! It was a good thing that Scott and Dan had meet us downtown. Scott goes running up the ramp, and yells at the two guys left closing shop, to let us get our car out. If we would of been five minutes later, We would of had to wait till morning to pick up the car. Lesson learned, when it says it's closing, it really means it. And to park in the parking garage thats attached to the mall.

We said our goodbyes to Dan and Denise on Thursday, We had already master planned a trip with my family to meet us up there. Well not in Spokane but about an hour away, in Kellogg Idaho, at the Resort there called Silver Mountain. This was kind of another half of our Christmas from my parents.

We met them at the resort late that afternoon, which gave us plenty of time to spend at the indoor water park there! They had everything there, quite a few splash pads, a lazy river, some basket ball hoops, a grand daddy of a splash pad which had three little tube slides on it, a surfing wave thingy, and three more adult like tube slides. . . . how ever you want to inturpit "adult" all of my brothers and including my dad screamed like little girls. Not that they were scary, but just for the fun of it!

They had a tube slide that you could fit multiple people on, and the only way to go on that was with at least two brothers, you would go so dang fast, and the corners! it was all I could do sometimes to stay in the tube! It was a blast!

The next morning Dad Rented bikes for everyone, and a trailer for the girls. We had fun, and enjoyed the scenery. Some more then others, but we all had a smooth, wonderful ride ;)

After a Rest, and a shower for some, We headed to Wallace Idaho, just the next town down to go on a mine tour. We had some time to kill, before our tour, so we took a stroll down main street, I guess you could call it.

Some interesting Facts about Wallace. Wallace is where they filmed the 1997 movie "Dante's Peak" with Pierce Brosnan. Don't worry that Volcano isn't actually there, no really it's CGI-ed in.

It was also more recently daubed the "center of the universe" which is kind of neat I thought! Not to mention a great photo opportunity! :)

He's the center of MY universe :)

We had fun on our tour of the mine, but there were times that I think that our tour guide was out to get me, he kept teasing me. But he was super nice to Scott and let him try out his jack-hammer!

That night we headed up the worlds longest gondola ride. Dad bought a packaged deal with a ride to the top, and a really nice dinner to enjoy up there as well.

They had all sorts of toys up there for the" kids" to play on. Notice that there is probably only one kid that is under the weight limit here :)

Next we went to Silverwood. Which is like a Lagoon to the pacific northwest. It's not much bigger and it's probably just as packed on a Saturday there, then it is anywhere else at a theme park. which I was a bit amazed, cause it's kind of in the middle of nowhere, but I guess so was Lagoon at one time, and even I can remember that!

as you can see Scott was REALLY scared!
took this picture riding in their antique cars. Thought it turned out pretty cute for a self portrait
Sweet little Rocky dog did awesome the whole trip! His cousins ( Dan and Denise's dogs) took a bit to warm up to him, but after a few days, they ended up doing pretty good together!

Yea! He did it!

it was a crisp morning for July, but a good morning for Hot air balloons and a marathon!

I knew that a lot of people ran but I was still a bit surprised that there was this many.
dang it! it's sideways! Scott all set and ready to go head to the starting line. I just waited with my neighbors at the finish line for him.
his free shirt that came with his registraion
Scott at the finish line where we were waiting for him. I made him a sign thinking I would blend right in with other family members cheering their runners on. nope not me, I was pretty much the only one with a sign. Saturday night I had Ryan (Scott's eldest brother) keep him out side while Emily and her girls helped me finish this side of Scott's sign. they made the stars and smiley faces and everything! thanks girls for all your help!
" GO SCOTTY GO'' even though I wasn't right at the finish line. He said he could see me as he came around the last corner of the race. and that's all that I really wanted, was for him to know that I was right there waiting and cheering him on, on that last hard part of the race.
Scott and our neighbor Wes at the finish line.
Scott ran the 5K in 29:30! which was the goal that he set for himself, he wanted to finish it around 30 mins and he did! There were 2310 runners in the 5K and Scott finished 767. He finished in the top quarter which is pretty awesome for his first marathon!

I'm so proud of you Scott for setting a goal, and working hard to get there, and following though to the end!

"YEA! HE DID IT!!!

Our 4th of July Holiday

For our holiday, we stayed here in Utah, but not without making a trip to Wyoming first :) We had Ryan, Emily, the kids, and their new dog "Lenny" down, who got along famously with Rocky. it was a bit iffy at first, but then they warmed right up to one another, and got along awesome!
we just had the traditional hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner, and when it was dark enough the show began! we had neighbors over for the fun too! Scott put on an awesome show, and everyone really enjoyed themselves!

Thanks Scott for putting on an great show! and thanks Ryan and his family for coming down and having fun with us!

Road Trip!!

Scott had wanted to plan a motorcycle trip with my Dad and Brothers down to Moab, and the time finally came where it was actually gonna work out!

Dad and my little brother (Nate) came down late Thursday Night, so we could take off semi-early for Moab, before it got to blistering hot.

we took a few pit stops along the way to rest the tired bum and keep hydrated.

I really didn't take a whole lot of pictures along the way but I got quite a few inside the Arches National Park. :)
this is proof that we walked up to the "windows" and back. At this point it was really stinking HOT!!
Again proof that we were hiking in the hot weather after being on a hot motorcycle.
I know it's sideways sorry
we weren't about to hike all the way up to it, so sorry that's as good as it's gonna get.
you can see the people that did hike up to it. Scott and I did it once, it wasn't all that bad of a hike. But after being on a hot bike, the last thing anyone of us wanted to do was hike.
OK well all can see that Scott is not wearing a helmet. But there are two things this picture doesn't capture. Like I said before it was REALLY HOT!! So as Scott put it, wearing a helmet down there is like turning the heater on in your car on a hot day. Second we were maybe going 25 MPH, this picture was taking inside of the park, not on the highway.
Even though it was HOT we all had a lot of fun! Thanks Dad and Nate for coming down and going with us, and making it that much more fun!
