Nothing Funnier

This morning Rocky got into a bit of trouble trying to lick a old bowl of cereal clean. He was licking a bit to hard, and spilt milk pretty much everywhere! So he earned himself a bath tonight after work. He always scratches and itches afterward. Rocky has randomly done this before, but we finally got on camera! We think that there is nothing funnier, But tell me what you think. . .

a man of many skills

So in case some of you didn't hear. It has snowed here for the last three days! we have a ton of snow! Today was the first day with out snow, but it's FREEZING now! No seriously! it's 4:30 in the afternoon and it's only 15 degrees! BBBRRRR!
Scott was lucky enough to have two of the last days off. (so he could shovel all the snow off the driveway for me! Thanks honey!) but yesterday afternoon he was getting a little cabin fever, so he loaded up Rocky and they both went on a walk, down by the river/sports park. These are just a few pictures that I loved, and thought I would share.
This one is my favorite! Scott calls it "winters grasp"
Rockie's tough face!

This one is actually in our back yard. We usually load up the fish and put them in a aquarium, here in the office. I forget all about them! I must confess. But not Scott, he went out a bought a heater for them this year, instead of fighting them into the aquarium. Good thing, cause other wise it wouldn't of made such an awesome photo!

The finished lights

So, here is a short video that my Scotty made of the Christmas lights outside. This is his "finished work". As you can see he added the star and the lighted Christmas tree. Don't forget to comment if you want.:)

what we've been up to

So for Thanksgiving we stayed here. With Scott's work schedule it didn't make any scene to drive and hurry back. so we saved our money, from not driving, and went out to eat! It was a first for the both of us. We went to Mimi's Cafe, they had the most AWESOME sweet potatoes I have ever had! we even took home leftovers! It was so worth it! no dishes to clean, nothing to cook, nothing to plan for! it was nice.
Scott had been working for a day or so before Thanksgiving, to get all the lights up. He decided to go all out this year in case you couldn't tell. I even get home this afternoon and he has put on another addition (that I didn't capture on film, sorry honey) it's like a 7 1/2 foot star! On top of our house! totally decked out, with just over 300 lights! Amazing!

It was also a really nice day on Thursday. The weather couldn't of been better, it was so warm that even I, went for a little motorcycle ride with Scott! It's kind of tradition with my family the last few years, that the boys go out of a motorcycle ride, on Thanksgiving.

The middle picture of us and Rocky was taken on Friday night at the light parade. It was our first year of being there. Some of our neighbors had invited us. They even warmed us up later with hot chocolate at their place after. What awesome friends we have!
I went and got my nerd on, at the midnight showing of "New Moon" with my girlfriends. Holy Buckets, it was a whole lot crazier this year than it was last. Last year we didn't have to stand out side. This year, we were out side for a good 45 min! Yeah, I was pretty frozen, but I think it was worth it! I kept gushing about it enough that Scott took me that following Sunday to go see it again! Isn't he perfect! (Scott that is.)
Rocky is being Rocky. Cute and lovable and a good companion for Scott and I, we love him to death. We saw this coat and just had to get it for him! It fits all of us perfect don't ya think?! (it says "biker dude") cute huh!
We went up to see Ryan, Emily and the kids last night, and took Rocky with us. Emily made a wonderful taco soup and wickedly good cinnamon rolls! The kids loved Rocky, and so did he! We all had a blast!

I think that's everything for now. I'm quite proud of my blogging skills lately! I just need to keep on top of it. I know that a lot of people have the same problem, so I shouldn't be so hard on myself. But until next time. . .

I still love you!

My Mom text me Monday to let me know that, the Mo Tab had told my Dad no. :( Sad day I know! I wanted to post about it earlier, to let everyone know. But I just now found the time to do it.

So you know, and for the record Dad, I still love you! And I know that you are an amazing singer!

GOOOO TTEEEAAAMMM!

So for those of you that have never heard my Dad sing. your missing out! Cause I think he's amazing! I might be a little bias, but I love him!

He has tried out for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! I don't know if any of you are familiar with this process, but.

First you have to send in a tape of you singing Acapella.

Second, (if you get a call back) you get to go to Salt Lake, and take a written test. And I guess it's the ACT test, of music tests.

Third, (if you get another call back) you get to come to Salt Lake again, and do a try out in front of Mack Wilberg and other faces of the choir.

Fourth, (if you get another call back) you have made it into the Chorale on Temple Square. You know have 12 weeks of mandatory practices/performances. With two of those a week. So yes, that's right, there are 24 mandatory practices/performances you have to be to. After you have proven your self there. you'll be promoted to MO TAB! (Mormon Tabernacle Choir)

My Dad has always dreamed of being in those seats and being a part of that group! I'm already so proud of him for even just sending in his tape! But right now, in this try-out processes, he is on that third step. He will be trying out, tomorrow afternoon (11-7) in front of Mack Wilberg and other associates! I'm so nervous for him, I even have butterflies!

I just wanted everyone to know just how much I love my Dad and how proud I am of him already!

and let's not forget. . . . GOOD LUCK!

Good news

So Bucca made it home this evening! yeah!
Just thought I would let you all know, that our, and your prayers were answered this week!
Thank you for all your love and support that you have shown me, and my family!

Thank you!

A Prayer for "my Bucca"

So Bucca is my mom's dad. Bucca is the name that I used to call him when I was little. Where it came from no one knows. But Bucca has been sick for way longer than is fair. But yesterday morning he suffered a pretty awe full stroke, on his left side. he stayed the night in ICU, to keep close look on him. they were suppose to move him to the main floor sometime today. Mom hasn't called to say that anything bad, so all must be good. (Ok, maybe not good, but better.) I will try to keep this updated the best that I can.
But if you could say a prayer, that would mean the world to my family and I. Thank you!

Happy Halloween!!!

We hope that everyone had a safe and happy Halloween! And made sure that your kids brushed their teeth last night! j/k j/k We sure enjoyed our selves! but I think Scott had too much fun!
Get it?! it's a Scotty dog and I married a Scotty?! Kinda lame. I know. I made my poodle skirt myself! and it took me a few days! which is amazing cause most of my sewing projects take me a few tries, if not a few weeks! But I still needed help from my mom via picture texts. and help from Scott too! to help me unscramble it and make it, make since to me! But I had it done in a matter of three days! Go Me! Ten Points!

Scott has a really good looking leather jacket that would of gone nice, so we could of been a 50's couple together, straight from the soda fountain! But he decided that he'd rather be a Zombie. I said "great! but your doing your own makeup!" and he did! and He did a pretty awesome job I might add! Between his makeup, our candy bowl, Rocky, and the flaming-pumpkin-head-scarecrow in the front yard. I don't know which one scared the neirbooh kids more?!

Every year Scotts' parents callenge all of us, (kids, daughter-in-laws, and grandkids) to do a pumkin carving contest. Scott and I, have it easy cause we don't have, to help any kids carve their own. So Scott kinda goes all out! (kinda being an understatement!) We had people we've never even met, coming and taking pictures of it, and with it! (while we were outside)

We have a video of it, that a neighbor friend helped us with, (thanks again Matt and Crystal!) . . . but I'm having technical problems, and can't even find it! but hopefully when Scott gets home this evening, he can help me out.

silly dog

Here are the other two funny video's, that I shot of Rocky that same night. They're pretty hilarious!

I don't know if you saw in this video. But he launches from like the fourth step!

And in this one, Scott gets him all wound up, and Rocky tries to launch himself from a higher step, and loses it! ha ha ha!

Rocky's first bath, and first bump

We gave Rocky his first bath and put Scott's new wash tub to some good use! We came back inside and were just playing around. We got quiet a laugh out of this one, and I have two more where that came from! but we'll start with one and see how it goes. Enjoy!

We have some news!!!

We have officially started a family! ha ha you wish I was pregnant! but sorry to say that i'm not. Not yet. But we do have a little boy! He is a year old, his name is "Rocky". He is a Havanese, it's part of the Bichon family. He is only nine pounds and he is fully grown for the most part, he probably won't get much bigger. His hair is really short right now, (they say that it's suppose to be kept longer.) the owner that we got him from took him into Pet-smart, and the groomer there butchered him! she said that his coat was really unevenly cut, and they had even nicked his legs! they had cut it so short! But He doesn't NEED to be groomed because, he is hypo allergenic so he won't shed!

the owner's did an awesome job with him! Rocky is potty trained! And knows his basic commands like "sit" "stay" "come" and "kennel up"! Havanese are suppose to be easily trained, so Scott has some big plans for this little guy!

isn't he cute!
Scott's new buddy!
We are both really excited to have this little guy in our life's'! And hope to make many memories with him too!

ok. . . it's time, I know.

k so I might not be brave enough just yet to put another picture on. But did you see! I took my friend Merri's advice and I found my post on our Vegas trip! Yeah! So thanks Merri! And Merri just so your warned, I'll be coming to you for all my blogging worries!

But what to write about?! it's been plenty of time, I should have oodles to blog about right?! Well I'll give it my best

Well, I got a mini makeover from a good friend, at the end of August! I am now a redhead with bangs!

And right after that Scott and I took off on a very fun and memorable vacation to his home town Spokane. And of coarse go and see his parents! Denise is the one who took these awesome pictures! so we could better remember our fun trip up there! Thanks Denise!

We went cliff jumping off of Tubbs hill into lake cour'd Alene! The Lake water wasn't all that cold which was awesome! I jumped twice, and I was done. Scott jumped about five times! and Dan (scott's dad) Jumped too! Also we went snorkeling at the beach that we were at as well. We had a blast that day!

We also went on a "hot date" to the resort there on lake Cour'D Alene they have a nice restaurant there that over looks the lake and you can watch the sunset! it was all sorts of romantic! they also have these HUGE sundaes there! which is kind of the whole reason why we went! ha ha! so we shared dinner and a sundae and we still didn't have room to finish it!

We took a day trip up to Sand Point ID. And for part of Scott's birthday, Dan and Denise bought us all tickets for a boat ride on Lake Pend Orellie! what a blast! we walked along downtown and went in a shop or two. And went up the road a little bit, to Hope Idaho. which is where you are suppose to be able to feed deer, but now it's against the law. go figure. But we didn't let that ruin our fun, we still had a fun day!

We also decied that we needed an update of pictures of us, and Denise gladly took some of us! thanks again Denise!

Well I think I have overcome my fear! Ok, but I must confess. that I still got pretty upset when my pictures where taking to long to download. I had to call Scott in to help me. But a least I know now, how to find my posts, and that all is not lost!

Thanks for all your kind words and much needed support, in me trying to figure out the blogging world!

Just let me explain!!!!

K so I'm still trying to so this whole blogging thing. . . I tried a month or so ago. To try and publish some stuff on our vacation to Vegas. I was on for almost an hour and a half just typing! no pictures! I was installing some videos at the very end. It was taking longer then I think it should. And I hit the refresh button. wrong thing to do! for whatever reason, I lost everything I had worked so long on I was REALLY upset! to the point of tears! And I decided that I needed a break. come back later and experiment with the site so I don't have this problem again. So give me a few days longer, I might be brave enough to put pictures on here next time!

Vegas!

Thank you Merri for your tip! I just wish I would of posted my whining blog sooner so I could of learned your trick! So now that I really know what to do, I think I might be able to keep up with this now. Now for the long awaited blog about our trip to Las Vegas, clear back from July!

what a stud!

For a pre-anniversary, to one another. . . We went to Vegas, on July 22-25. We left early Wednesday morning and made it there to Las Vegas before noon! so we checked in and had the whole day to play! First we went down to the pool! it was pretty crowded cause it was so stinkin hot! that's when we decided when we were to go out and walk the strip, it was going to be later in the day.
We saw and did a ton! we went to m&m world, had a coke at the coke-cola place, and kept on walking down to the Bellagio and watched the fountains! And that was just the first night! We also went to the shark reef aquarium at the Mandalay Bay, we went shopping at the outlet mall and bought new sandals for us both (me especially cause i already had blisters from the first night of walking) we went to the Wynn resort to look at the Ferrari's and have Scott's picture in one too! we saw the talking statues in the Caesars Palace mall. Went and saw Hoover Dam, and I think Scott's favorite part was Fremont street! We had a totally blast on our little splurge on ourselves!

This video is weird at the beging because the "Beatles" are playing over top of the music that the screen is suppose to go with. But you'll still get the picture! ha ha!

My Handy Man

So I should of posted about this a long time ago, but every time I usually have time, someone else is on the computer!

Scott the loving husband that he is, has found handy man work just in our neighborhood! a week ago Friday he finished a half bathroom for a neighbor two houses down! he finished it in about five days! with amazing results! So everyone else is thinking that they would like to hire the "Scotty Mac" (cause he is the local neighborhood celebrity)

And as soon as he was done with building that half bath. He tore into our garage and panted the walls and ceiling! Made another shelve above the garage door, and a few more little ones everywhere else! He is one fast moving handy man machine! And I LOVE HIM FOR IT!

Finally a look at what we did for our 4th

So for part of our fourth of July holiday fun we hitched up a trailer to our Mazda and towed "Sylvia" Scott's motorcycle, up to Blackfoot, and went for a motorcycle ride. along with us came my bigger older brother Dave, my little Brother Nate, my uncle Lonnie, my dad, and Scott and I. we went up and around the Tetons and down into Jackson Hole! it was extra fun for me because it's somewhere I have been fortunate enough to visit often with my family growing up and it's also somewhere that Scott hasn't been so I really enjoyed it! it was a little chilly and there was some rain but i think it was still worth it in the end. And of coarse where there is rain there are clouds also, so Scott technically didn't see the "Grand Teton" but oh well you can still count it as being there.

This is Scott and I inside the visitor center that's technically in Moose Wyoming

The "Grand Teton" is the one that you can't see due to cloud cover

"Sylvia" in all her rebelness! get it cause she in a no parking zone!
Scott took this picture on top of the Palisades dam

This slide is in a girls camp up in the Tetons somewhere, just outside of Swan Valley. Just so everyone knows I have some bad history with this slide. when I was about ten or so i went flying down this slide! no really I did! some day when I have more time on my hands (ha! ha!) I'll find my picture to prove it! so climbing the stairs and sitting on the top of it had me REALLY freaking out!

Fun Weekend Cont.

Also for our fun filled weekend my Mom and Dad came down! my Mom came to keep me company, and my Dad, well he was working and having fun doing it. It was the first time that the Rocky Mountain Pullers Association was in Spanish Fork! He's done a few tractor pulls a summer for them announcing. but I think he would of had more fun if he hadn't rode his motorcycle so far, all day. cause he did ride it from all the way from Blackfoot! So when the tractor pull was finally over (around midnight) he was sure glad to take a shower and hit the hay! I had a blast entertaining everyone and having my family so close!

The Three Amigos

So it was a busy weekend and I'm still trying to re coop from it! my little brother Nate came down to show off his new motorcycle a 650 v-star. He was coming Friday night so Scott stayed up to wait, I did too but didn't make it all that long! but he brought along his friend Shon. So the three of them on Saturday washed their bikes till you could practically hear them squeak! They rode till their hearts desire! And also, till all three were very sunburned! I was terrible not to think about sunscreen?! MY BAD! they all should be looking smoking hot for the holiday! ha ha!

"squeaky squeaky"
this is my little brother Nate on his 650 V-Star which I should also mention that, that is what Scott had when we meet for our first motorcycle ride!
the three amigos! from right to left is Shon on his 800 Vulcan, then Scott on his 1500 Vulcan Drifter, and Nate on his 650 V-Star!

TA DA!!! I'm Doing it!

So I'm starting this blog to hopefully keep in better contact with family, friends, and loved ones. so bear with me as I'm on a huge learning curve right now! hopefully it's not to boring for you either cause all it's gonna be about is Scott and I, so yes i am apologizing in advance!

But i posted these pictures of Scott and his motorcycle because i took them! and am quite proud! and not to mention my husband looks pretty good too!
